Established in late 2014, the Centre for Game Design Research is an interdisciplinary centre for the research and creation of games and playful design interventions based in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University in Australia. The Games Centre brings together scholars, artists, designers, engineers and students across RMIT Schools and Research Centres, as well as participants from other Universities and Industry.

In August the Games Centre will officially launch by showcasing research projects by academic leaders and PhD researchers. The event will be an opportunity to network, play and discuss the future opportunities for game design research.
